            *  Anomalies which may be detected by ultrasound include; craniospinal defects,such as anencephalus, hydrocephalus, meningocele, spina bifida; some cardiac anomalies; omphalocele , GI obstruction, ascites; renal anomalies (multicystic kidney, renal agenesis, urethral obstruction); short limb dysplasias and other anomalies such as conjoined twins, sacrococcygeal teratoma, diaphraghmatic hernia, pulmonary tumor.  The information provided herein applies only to structural renal and bladder anomalies.
